There are things that just belong together and everyone who
knows The Mad Dogs know that we love our coffee.
Recently it was suggested that we should try a French Press
coffee maker. Questioning that anyone would suggest this to us,
I said "What!!? And give up our espresso??" No, the idea wasn't
to give up our espresso, our "Elixir of life", but rather to
provide an alternative.
The CREMA French Press from Bodum combines form and function. A
borosilicate glass pot, nestled in and surrounded by a stainless
steel frame is Bodum's contribution to our cool & very
functional gear on Mad Dog Voyager!
Available in two different sizes, we decided on the 3-cup model.
Add the suggested amount of fresh ground, course coffee (this is
a VERY important aspect) and filled with just-boiled water, a
few minute wait is followed by a gentle press of the coffee
extractor handle. The fresh aroma of fresh pressed coffee fills
the air and the anticipation is rewarded by an outstanding cup
of fresh coffee.
The whole process of making coffee in the Bodum CREMA is so
quick and easy, that several subsequent pots of fresh, tasty
coffee are consumed hot, aromatic and fresh - the way coffee
should be. Easily disassembled and cleaned, our Bodum CREMA
waits patiently for the next round.
Bodum has delivered an excellent product and the CREMA gets a 5
star from the Mad Dogs.
