Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR camera

The crew on Mad Dog Voyager has chosen the Canon EOS 7D digital SLR camera as our main camera due to its high resolution, speed and quality of images and the Canon EOS 20D has become our secondary digital camera. Although it is the "secondary" camera, the Canon 20D digital camera is still a very good camera (we also use the Canon 20D camera for our diving photos), it is just a lower resolution than the Canon 7D.

Professional photographers and amateurs will be astonished with the incredibly sophisticated abilities of the Canon EOS 7D digital SLR. The Mad Dogs are certainly impressed with the high quality of the images. The Canon 7D camera can also produce videos however they are not worth mentioning here because of the poor quality due to camera "stability" feature. Do not buy this Canon 7D to make videos, buy a video camera for this purpose.

The 2 canon zoom lenses we use are:
Canon Zoom lens (the EF 75-300mm with Image Stabilizer) We use this lens with great results

Canon Ultrasonic EF 70-200 mm f2.8 Telephoto-Zoom:
EF 70-200 mm f2.8 Ultrasonic Telephoto-Zoom lens and the Canon Tele-Extender EF 2x II. We use this lens on a regular basis with excellent results


The smaller canon zoom lens we use:
1 - Canon Zoom lens (17-85) w Image Stabilizer is the lens we use mostly with our Canon 20D camera and gives us great photos with built in zoom! However we have had some problems with this lens and apparently this is quite common with this particular lens from Canon. More details how to fix this available soon

2 - Canon EF 24-70mm f-2.8L USM Telephoto Zoom Lens is the lens we use mostly with our Canon 7D camera. This lens gives us excellent photos with ultra sharp clarity!


Diving with the Canon 7D camera
We have not used the Canon 7D for underwater photography because we need to buy a different Ikelight housing for this camera. The Ikelight from the Canon 20D camera is different in layout and size. Soon to be updated
